You have three options for selecting your occurrence points for your experiment.

1. Search for a species name:

We can accept points in CSV, Shapefile, or XML formats.

If you wish to upload points in CSV format, it is strongly recommended that you include a header row in your CSV file. A sample CSV point file can be found at: Sample CSV Points.
If you do not include a header row, then the minimum required fields will be assumed (localId, longitude, latitude) Sample Minimum CSV Points.
To upload points as a shapefile, zip all of the files into an archive and upload that file. The point attributes that will be read by Lifemapper are listed in the request body section of the upload points as shapefile documentation .
To upload points in XML format, it should follow the Lifemapper XML Request Schema. You can see an example of this format here: Sample Points Upload Request.

Use the file dialog to find a file on your file system and select "Upload Points". Your file will be posted to the Lifemapper occurrences service and you will be notified of the resulting occurrence set id. This will be passed back to the on-demand service page, but if you would like to use this occurrence set again for additional models, take note of the number and use it to specify this set.

Please select an algorithm to use to generate the experiment model. Once you select an algorithm, you will be able to select or change the algorithm's parameters.

First, pick a model scenario. The layers in this scenario will be used by openModeller to generate a model.

The list of potential projection scenarios will be populated based on scenarios that match the model scenario. Pick as many scenarios as you would like to project your model.
